The Day I Learned About Nelson Mandela The Hero
Many yong people today do not care about the past. they live to celebrate their everyday life without minding or remembering the people who fought for this freedom we having today. I remember in primary school when a teacher taught us thr importance of history, those days history was to many of us in class was like a fairytale story. Until the great one Nelson Mandela passed, that is when South Africa as a whole realized that they have lost a hero.
I started reading books trying to find out how he managed to survive Robben Island and still comd back without wanted revenge from the oppressors.
I also learned that the old man wanted nothing but freedom for all, today in South Africa many nations come in and out without any doubt that theu will be in danger. Infact the world today respects South Africa and Africa as a whole because of Madiba the man who spent 27years in prison to free his people from oppression.
We are a great nation today because of heros like him.
Although books are no longer important to the youth it is highly important to remember that history will always be written no matter what. People who stand up for their rights and the rights of others will be remembered for years to come. What are you standing up for, learn to be a leader so that in the end your name is remembered.
Read books do great to others and the rest shall follow, nations should not vanish just because we as the youth failed to follow in our leaders footsteps. That is all i have for today friends take care and love your country.
